I’m sharing some interesting and unusual facts about the human body to start the week smarter!
-At birth, a baby’s body has 350 bones. During growth, some bones fuse together, and by adulthood there are 206.
-There are about 5 liters of blood in an adult’s body. Blood is made up of red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets and plasma.
-A red blood cell circles the entire body in about 20 seconds and oxygenates the vital organs in the process. (So you can imagine how fast blood can flow if a major blood vessel is damaged).
-The heart beats on average 100,000 times a day!
-75% of our body is composed of water. The brain, 80%!
-We produce 1.5 liters of saliva in a day. (ark!)
-The epidermis regenerates completely every month.
That’s it! I hope it will help you with your general knowledge 😉
